Gymstar
Gymstar, a selection based gymnastics program, is a fun recreational competitive program that focuses on participation and enjoyment.
Throughout the year, gymnasts are given the opportunity to learn routines on six major apparatus – Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, P-Bars and Rings.
Gymstar competitions allow gymnasts to perform these routines in front of their friends and family in a low-stress, friendly and supportive environment. Competitions run in Terms 2, 3 and 4.
In lower levels (1 – 3) all participants receive a medal based on their individual score and in the higher levels (4 – 10) medals are awarded based on individual and team results. The Gymstar program is aimed at gymnasts who train a limited number of hours or are not suited to a stricter competitive program in order to keep competitions fair.
